What do you say to that? For me, it was biglaw placement (and the best one I got into). I was a splitter so I didn't get a scholarship.
My "BS" answer is location and I loved everyone I met here during Admitted Students weekend but it doesn't seem like a satisfactory answer.
What are they looking for when they ask this? Such an odd question.

How is that not a satisfactory answer? If you feel like you need more, tell them the same sort of things you would have told your law school in a "Why X" letter. You met fantastic alumni, you we're enthralled by the professors whose classes you sat in, etc. bs et al.

I have been saying the combination of cost and job prospects made it the right choice for me. I feel like most attorneys know now how expensive school is and how tough the market is so mentioning job opportunities I'm sure is fine.

This is exactly what I told my interviewers last year and it seemed to be well-received
