Transfer -- didn't make journal

Just transferred into T-14, but didn't make a journal. Primarily, bc my note sucked. How can I downplay this during my interviews. I'm primarily interested in litigation anyways and really want to do moot court. Is that all I need to say, or more?
Thanks in advance!

Is almost everyone else at your school on a journal? Could make you look like the "black sheep" during OCI. I'm on a secondary at a T-14 and in 5 screeners, not once have they asked about journal or moot court. I would play up moot court. Shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Consider it a blessing in disguise. You managed to transfer, so you will be a prime candidate. Journal work blows and you are lucky to have avoided it.
I had 30 screeners. Journal was mentioned zero times. (T 14, non transfer). I know multiple transfers at my v5 who play no journal off as a confidence thing ("I didnt need it").
Did you have an offer at last school? Refer to that.
Side note. Journal matters more for lit, not less. It may affect clerkship apps, but not so much biglaw.
