I didn't learn shit for that test and now I have no idea what the rules are. Instead of grading to a curve, there should be minimum competency.

Do the rules come up enogh for you that you'd need to make snap judgments rather than lookin up specific rules for your jx

Most of it is pretty common sense anyways, and to the extent that it's not, you can easily look up the rules.

The most important one is the one about when you can rely on a superior's close judgment call. Then again in practice you'll probably just go with something close to "always."
