High School on Resume for Smaller Towns

I have not listed my high school on any resumes.

However, I am going to apply to a few firms from the city where I am from (central valley/central CA). Should I just mention the ties in my first paragraph/ties paragraph of my cover letter? Or should I include high school information in either the Education section or interest section? I am scared some firms might focus on the resume and not look at the cover letter very closely (if I only list ties in the cover letter). Another option would be to list my parent's address in the header of my resume instead of my school address.

Thanks for all feedback.

Mention it early in your cover letter. I also like the idea of listing your parents' address on your resume. That's worked for me in tie-sensitive markets.

List your parents' address on your resume instead of school.

When I was applying to secondary markets, I listed my school address on the left and my parents'/home address on the right. Worst case scenario is that they send rejection letters to your parents.

I wouldn't list it. Use your address that is in that market and figure out a way to stress your local ties in a cover letter/initial email and in the screener

I had below 50% grades and 0 involvement in law school (I hated law school) and the sole reason I got an interview with a midlaw (250-500 lawyers) was because I put my high school on my resume and mentioned it in my cover letter. Turns out the interviewer went to the same high school as me, that was practically all we talked about at OCI.

The call back was grueling but I interview really well and got the SA. It was my only OCI interview and only call back and I absolutely wouldn't have gotten either had I not mentioned my high school in the way I did.

I had no business getting the OCI interview, the call back, or the job based on my grades/journal involvement.
