(source: just spoke with a recruiter)
(if you don't get why this is funny, Latham laid off a wide swath of junior (even first year) lawyers during the financial crisis, because they had been expanding aggressively into this practice in NYC when it exploded. It did explode, so it's hard to completely 'hold it against them' for laying people off when the work dried up, or recruiting more heavily once it came back, but it's a little macabre all things considering...)
