Washington DC Law Consortium (BC, BU, NU, ND, UT)
Anyone bid on the DC off-campus program?

Just to clarify, because apparently it's confusing: TLC (The Law Consortium) is an off-campus interviewing program. The schools listed above participate in off-campus interviews in a few cities across the US.

no, but i bid the LA one and am curious how many people are going/bidding on these things. I thought GW was also involved in this consortium, am I wrong?

GW is part of the Consortium but not every member participates in all of its off-campus interview programs. This thread is about the Consortium's DC program; it'd be redundant for GW students to participate in their own OCI and the Consortium program.Anonymous User wrote:I thought GW was also involved in this consortium, am I wrong?

Preselects for McDermott and Drinker Biddle. Not selected by SullCrom or Seward.

Yeah I bid the LA one. In checking out the results of bidding, one of them says "pending" (not the one the email said hadn't submitted their selections yet). Does anyone else have this? I'm thinking I may be an alternate, but who knows really.Anonymous User wrote:no, but i bid the LA one and am curious how many people are going/bidding on these things. I have a "Pending" status for Proskauer. Not certain, but I would take this to mean that they didn't submit their pre-selects in a timely fashion.Anonymous User wrote:In checking out the results of bidding, one of them says "pending" (not the one the email said hadn't submitted their selections yet). Regarding LA fair:
UT student here, roughly top 25%, I bid everything except the DA's office. Screeners at Proskauer, Allen Matkins, and Katten. Not selected for Sheppard Mullin or Stradling.

Sullcrom interview here. Does anyone know if their DC office does any patent work?

My pending is from one of the other two firms 25% mentioned, so those two firms have both obviously made selections for at least some people. That's what's making me think "pending"= alternateAnonymous User wrote:Regarding LA fair:

Re: Washington DC Law Consortium (BC, BU, NU, ND, UT)
GW doesn't do the DC or Philly one because we have a GW only interview program in Philly and GW would rather get the firms to come to our OCI so we're not competing with 5 other schools for certain firms.Anonymous User wrote:GW is part of the Consortium but not every member participates in all of its off-campus interview programs. Question for you guys though. Did you guys think the amount of firms at these were tiny compared to how much career services hyped it. Our GW only NY program had 31 firms, 26 being vault firms, yet all the consortium ones have 6 firms at most. Or does DC make up for it?

Only 7 DC firms. We have a bunch more coming to OCI at ND.

Only seven firms and three of them -- Cadwalader, Goodwin, Wilkie -- can't be bothered to select interviewees.Anonymous User wrote:Only 7 DC firms.
Apart from that being annoying, would y'all interpret this as a general disinterest in the Consortium students, at least as compared to the law schools these firms visit on-campus?

Law firms are busy. I don't think it's disinterest as much as it is work load.

Selected by Willkie today, didn't get Goodwin. Same anon as above, have interviews with Drinker, McDermott, and Willkie now.

Ditto. But I didn't jive with the interviewers so I'm not surprised at all.Anonymous User wrote:McDermott ding via email.
