Top Law Schools

Didn't really see too much on TLS for Notre Dame so figured I'd get this thread started to keep NDLS lurkers and contributors connected and helping each other with bidding, CBs and just general advice!

I'm a rising 2L targeting Chicago, secondary journal, and top 1/3, non-URM. Bid 33 firms and a few at NY OCIP. Posting anon because of how small our class is. Good luck everyone!

Also, because we don't rank, let's just use these as default numbers so we are all on the same page:

Dean's Circle- Top 10%
3.5+ - Top 25%
3.45+ - Top 33%
3.33+ - Top 40%
3.295 or below- Bottom Half

general advice - submit your bids and go enjoy Bruno's Pizza

4 wonderful years of my life were spent at ND WAY back in the day. Coming back up to bring my daughter to the football game in late August.

To OP: what firms?

Would rather not say with how insanely small the OCIP is going to be. With 6, I'm guessing you basically swept up. I was really hoping for a lot more firms to be at the NY OCIP.

For the NY OCIP people, has anyone heard back from Davis Polk's resume drop?

OP here, check above for class stats. Feeling pretty good about it got 16/26 bids. I think our class being fairly spread out in terms of what cities they are targeting helped those targeting Chicago for the lottery. I was surprised to see a couple of the firms that said no, I had them towards the bottom of my list because I was well in their hiring range. But w/e, can't complain I guess.

18/30, all big time firms though. Didn't get any of the smaller firms where I thought I'd be a lock.

Not the poster but saw the same thing with smaller firms. I was surprised because a lot of them came in wanting top 1/3 or similar and then still passed on me.

Latham from what i hear only takes Law Review kids. I was under LL's requirement and got a preselect.

For those of you that got Schiff or Vedder what class percentage were you in? Anyone get Ropes & Gray for Chicago? class percentage?

Got Ropes, Latham, and LL. Under the GPA requirement for the last two.
