GPA on Resume

I KNOW I KNOW

This post has been made before, but I cannot find the topic. (TLS search doesn't let you do a search for only three characters, e.g., "GPA")

My school doesn't rank, and only gives 5% cut offs.

Is the below acceptable on a resume?
XXX Law School
J.D. Candidate, XXXX

XXX Law School
First-year J.D. Curriculum
Honors: GPA: X.XX (Top 5% cut-off: X.XX)

I mean we all know you're going to write it out to the fourth decimal. Why ask.

I like to put GPA on its own line so it stands out. It isn't really an honor/activity.

If your GPA is top 5% I would do it this way:

Law School XX
J. D. Candidate, May 2016
GPA: X.XXX (Top 5%)
Honors and Activities: blah blah blah

If it isn't top five percent, but close (or maybe if you're a sizable margin above top 5%)

Law School XX
J. D. Candidate, May 2016
GPA: X.XXX (Top 5% - X.XXX)
Honors and Activities: blah blah blah

Also if you want to search TLS for 3-character terms, Google:
site:http://top-law-schools.com/forums [3-character-search-term]

I feel there should be a sticky about this somewhere.
