What are my chances as a transfer in a secondary market?

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jul 08, 2014 12:55 pm

Here's the situation. I went to T4 and finished in the top 20%, and managed to transfer to a lower T2 where I will be starting in the fall. I'm from NJ and will now be going to school in NYC, and I'm trying to target the NJ market. I realize BigLaw is out, so I'm trying to be really aggressive with mid sized firms, and whether it matters or not I have a pretty decent resume with a handful of firm experience as well as prestigious DA's office experience.

As much as I'd like to play up my new school and my ties to NJ market, am I still completely ruined by T4 on my resume first year?
