I am in the top 1/3 at GULC with a 3.56 GPA (probably closer to 20% but we are not given this statistic). K-JD.

Please critique my bidlist. I'm particularly interested in Energy/environment and corporate transactional.

I would appreciate some quick criticisms since the deadline close.

I don't think you have a realistic chance of getting a lottery interview with any DC office below Steptoe, and you likely won't even get them. I would move those DC firms down and move the large SA class NY offices with lots of interview slots up. Realistically, I would be surprised if you got an NYC office below 15, or a DC office below 10.

Do you have international experience and/or languages? It is my impression that Magic Circle firms like this kind of stuff. I also have doubts A&O will be available at #14.

I'd consider moving Cadwalader, Shearman, Willkie, and Proskauer up as well, as I don't think you'll get them through lottery where they are now. I have no idea if you'll get many preselects (even though you're comfortable above a lot of medians), so be prepared to mass mail all the firms in your bidlist that you don't get an interview at as soon as the lottery/preselect results come out.

Finally, I would fill out the bottom of your bidlist with all the Miami firms, and hope you get preselected. Alternatively, try bidding them somewhere between 15-25 and see if you can get them through lottery, since you likely won't get DC/NYC offices in that range.
