Where is Bar Prep Done?

I am trying to figure out my living situation and I had a question. If I am going to do big law in a different state than I currently go to law school, should I intend to study in that other state or can I just study where I am? And do most big law firms let you wait until after you take the bar to start working? This will change whether I get 10 month or 12 month lease.

Can't answer re: biglaw, but you usually have a choice re: bar study - either online or in person in the state you will be taking it in. So if it's really important you stay where you are and your employer doesn't need you there until post bar, you could do an online prep course.

Almost all big law start dates to my knowledge are between Sept and Nov so yeah that's after you take the July bar. Don't think it matters where you study, especially if you are going to do online classes. If you are going to do in person then sure it's limited by where you can find a class offering your jurisdiction but apparently in person classes tend to just be going to a room and watching a video (which you can do online).
Idk where I'm studying yet either in similar circumstances to you, but it will be driven mostly by cost and social factors.
