They seem legit, but I can't seem to find much on them aside from their website and guest spots on ATL. Has anyone used them? Any positive/negative experiences? Thanks in advance!

I've used Lateralink. Generally what they do is that they compile a list of all open positions and then submit you. They are pretty damn expensive and get paid like 30-40k for each associate they place. It is possible that some law firms may be more critical of you if you use Lateralink that if you didn't. I've gotten offers from applying blind and also by using a recruiter and my offer from the firm in which I used a recruiter was a little harder to come by (ie. more interviews... references... this could be just how the firm operates).

The advantage of a recruiter is that many recruiters know Hr staff pretty well at the law firms they are submitting you for. This is somewhat of an advantage so that your resume does not get lost in the "pile" so to speak. The recruiter I used from Lateralink was somewhat connected. Lateralink also has a pretty good reputation among recruiters.

However, with that being said, generally if you are diligent looking for jobs on the law firm sites and/or on gobiglaw.com you can apply to the same jobs without the recruiters.
