What exactly classifies as "Biglaw"?

I'm sorry if this is an absurdly basic question, and if someone wants to just point me in the direction of a thread that answers this, that would be a-okay.

Here's my question. What exactly classifies as "Biglaw"? I've been told, on this board, that I have absolutely no chance at Biglaw (3.23 at a top 25 w/ various extracurriculars and maybe journal) and shouldn't even bother. And I can accept that because I know that there are at least 20 schools that are above mine where people have way better grades.
But what exactly does that mean? Does that mean that all large law firms are out of the question for me and I should just focus on mid-size law firms?

Again, my apologies if this is very basic, but I'm just wondering how to strategize.

You have nothing to lose by mailing and applying, but don't count on it.
If I didn't have a job, I would mail every firm and let them reject me.
If you are talking about OCI bidding, post your list. You have to be realistic and smart in bidding.

Are you a good interviewer? Have you made contacts at firms? It's not too late to get on that now.

@rad lulz -- Thanks for the response! Very helpful

@NYSprague -- I've done mock interviews and have been told that I'm a very good interviewer. I'm on my break at work, but will post my OCI list when I get home.

I've made a few contacts at firms, but I don't think nearly enough, so that's what I'm working on now. Do you think I should focus on large law firms or mid-size firms only? My school has alumni at a lot of different firms in NY, NJ, and North Carolina, which are my top 3 choices.
