I was just outside top 5% and have friends who were closer to your situation. I ended up transferring but don't think my prospects were affected. The goods news is that you don't have much of a ceiling; the absolute most selective firms are probably out, but everywhere else should be in play. The bad news is that you don't have a floor, I've seen those in your position strike out. Make sure you're mass mailing before OCI season, especially your home market if it is a smaller market (had a friend who landed 5 CBs before OCI even started and without having to do any screeners just by mailing his home market).

You're in good shape but nothing is a guarantee. . Mass mail, attend every off campus oci or whatever and don't stop until you have something.

The answer to this partly depends on whether you're from St. Louis and a several other factors (URM, personality/interviewing skills, Law Review, W/E, etc.). Regardless, don't take anything for granted. Your grades will get you plenty of interviews, but they won't necessarily get you callbacks and offers on their own. Go to as many off-campus programs as you can, start mass-mailing in mid to late July, and start contacting alumni at firms you're interested in right now. Also ask CSO for some Becker contacts. Don't let up until you have an offer.
