Just got a snail mail ding from Christie Parker Hale thanking me for interviewing with them.
I never got selected for a screener.

All offers at GULC for Simpson have gone out. Friend said Simpson seemed to be finished with recruiting a few weeks ago.

As someone who has just been admitted to GW, curious about how OCI bids work at GW?
Is it completely dependent on GPA? They don't care about LSAT/Undergrad GPA?
Thx

I don't know if any OCI employers care about your LSAT or Undergrad GPA.Anonymous User wrote:As someone who has just been admitted to GW, curious about how OCI bids work at GW?

Re: GW OCI 2014 - Meh?
Some firms will ask for your undergraduate transcript (especially for IP positions), but I think its more to see relevant course work than for the GPA. What school your going to is a pretty good proxy for that.

So OCI seems to have gone very poorly this year...Any sense of whether GW is still IPSecure?

The school admitted 100 more in the entering class and admitted a 100 person transfer class. They're doubling down going forward. Avoid.

Yes. IP 2Ls did really well. I think better than last year.Anonymous User wrote:So OCI seems to have gone very poorly this year...Any sense of whether GW is still IPSecure?

Re: GW OCI 2014 - Meh?
Did people really feel like OCI was more of a bloodbath than usual? To be clear, OCI at GW is always a bloodbath--I think only 20% get an SA, which is a reasonable estimate when one considers GW's information on LST--but I'm not convinced this year was worse than that. Seemed like GW scholars got offers generally, upper-crust of TM got offers at like a 50/50 rate, and past that it was a crapshoot other than IP kids.
Also, to future GW students reading this thread--if you want biglaw, you need to bid in the NY regional. This is particularly true if you are upper TM, think top 15%-top 25%. I don't care if you don't want to live in NYC. I know multiple people with decent-to-great credentials who got no callbacks in DC but several in NYC. You will not be an exception to this rule.

Soooo...Howard put more into NLJ 250 in the Class of 2014 than GW...
TTTT>>"T20"?
(Granted, NLJ250 undercounts so we should wait for LST scores, but still, this is quite the symbol)

Meh. Howard has a ton of URM and they consistently outperform their rankings.Anonymous User wrote:I think the increase in class size really fucked some of us over.
Honestly, gw placed about the same percentage into big law last 3 years. always between 20%-22%
