Resume Advice

I'm working on polishing up my resume for OCI and was wondering if anybody had experience in discussing some short "stints" workwise on a resume.

Basically, my first job out of college only really lasted about 5 months because the place was going to pay for a number of licenses and expected a multi-year commitment afterwards, which conflicted with me wanting to go to LS sooner. I mean I left on good terms and told them straight up what my plans were, but it feels like this shadow floating on the document. Not sure anybody will actually give a shit interview-wise, but I know nobody likes a leap frog. Any thoughts/similar experience?

It sounds like, if it matters to a firm and they ask, you have a very reasonable explanation. Business wanted X, you could only offer Y. Granted, that may lead them to ask "why law school," but you've undoubtedly had to answer that question during the LS application process and will be prepared. Describe the cool stuff you did and worry about other stuff.
