Bonus post since no one ever talks about what the remaining people do:
4.0% government
4.0% public interest
3.5% in-house
2.0% in small firms
1.0% RA
0.5% taking classes
0.5% clinic
I know many of those self selected out, and know some struck out.
Bonus bonus:
1L (c/o 2016) SA Placement: ~20% (marginally worse than c/o 2015 1L placement I think but very close)

No those are encompassed in my V51+ catch all. Small firms were all like 5 man shops with no indication of chance of FT offer/market pay.

84.7%, wow. That seems really high. But I guess I've never seen the stats with the good small and mid-sized firms included.

Out of curiosity, what was your denominator when calculating these? Do we even know how big our transfer class was? What's our total class size for 2015 at this point?

Does the WWW list include transfers?

Yes the list includes transfers. Denominator was 202 which includes every rising 3L listed for this summer regardless of job. No idea if anyone opted out, but I didn't flag anyone off the top of my head.

25% in v10 is very solid. Thanks for sharing the data. Im sure Chi wouldn't like it, though.
And to other poster, no, not all schools release this. (Cornell doesn't for sure).

Why wouldn't they like this? As a slightly above median, V100 strikeout working at a "big" non-market paying firm, I can say I sure went to the wrong school...

Probably something to do with the WWW list being confidential (though it's not like individual info is getting out), not adjusting for anyone who opted out, or wanting to control the stats (somehow)? I'm not sure, but I know that if I or whoever compiled this data had asked permission ahead of time, the answer would have been a resounding "no." Even though the numbers are very nice.
Echoing the thanks, OP.

Amazing.
IF you look at chamber associates which tracks SA's from the major firms it shows that most of them hired fewer SA's than last year. I guess it does not affect the 4th ranked school in the county.

Wow UChi fell hard. 4th in the county behind Chicago-Kent, DePaul, and Loyola?

NU posts its employment stats. Not broken down by Vault rankings but it does give salary data which is a pretty good approximate for students entering into market paying firms and the nebulous JD preferred jobs.
http://www.law.northwestern.edu/career/statistics/
I haven't seen anything anywhere near as detailed as NU's or now Chicago's stats though.

I think most do some version of it internally. It's not like they break ours down by Vault or anything, it's just "Law Firm", "Corporate", "Government", etc and I sorted it from there.
I agree CSO would not be thrilled about it though I'm also uncertain why they should/would care.

Ouch. NU at 5th. Our dean won't be happy about this.
