NYU CA bidding

Hey all. NYU rising 2L here. Plenty of advice on this forum re: bidding in NYC market. Anyone have advice to offer re: setting up a bid list for SoCal. How quickly do CA firm interview slots get taken? I am interested in Gibson, Irell, Latham etc. and don't want to get locked out, but I don't want to waste early bids on firms with the greatest number of interview slots.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Bump.
Not OP but same interests.

The only info I have is Columbia's data. Based on their data (I found on TLS but can't remember where), they had a list of bids, interviews extended, etc.

It seemed like many of the LA firms had less or equal amount of bids relative to the interview slots.
This probably means that they were underbid.
Caveat: this was for 2011, and this was for Columbia. Also I only had a cursory glance.

Maybe someone has newer data relevant to NYU

More anectdotal information on this would be immensely helpful. Knowing even a BALLPARK figure of what LA firms cleared at would be very helpful (as of now I have NO idea). I already called career services who either refused to give this info or did not know.

Bumping as well (not the same anonymous poster as above). There must be some NYU 3Ls/alums who can speak to this!

I think OCS will release lists of where 3Ls summered. Get some names of some 3Ls who are summering this year in CA, and ask them about their bid lists.

Bumping one last time. Bids are due Monday, and I still have no idea how popular CA firms are at NYU. OCS was not helpful. Right now, I'm bidding all of the LA firms (including grade-selective firms like Gibson and Irell) very high because they have relatively few interview slots. Are there any NYU 3Ls/alums out there who targeted CA and are willing to give some advice?

2 OCI seasons ago, I was able to add 2 Gibson Dunn offices in southern CA through add/drop because they had a ton of extra slots. No idea if that will still hold true, but that was my experience.
