Online personality tests before hiring

Experiences with this? Had an interview last week where the firm relied heavily on personality/achievement tests from Omni.
Felt blah about the aptitude test but the personality test seemed insane. They were like "you will probably struggle to complete tasks" based on a fifteen minute online test…

I took a personality test for a job before law school. I felt like it was very easy to pick the answers they wanted. At lot of the questions were about whether you liked working on teams, etc.
Where was this firm? I've never even heard of this for a legal job.

The newer tests are a lot harder to pick the "right" answer. A lot of the questions are along the lines of: Which do you agree with more: "I am comfortable working in a team" or "I look for solutions to tough problems"? The choices can be bizarre and impossible to guess what is the preferred answer.
I believe what they do is compare your answers to the answers of other employees. If you answer similarly to past high performers then you get the job.

Very interesting. That sounds a lot more useful than the one I took.
