My bar exam is 2 days -- reasonable for me to ask for 3 nights hotel? Really want to settle in for an extra day.

So...arrive 2 days before, and leave the night of my 2nd exam day.

I'm trying to figure out what the standard practice is. For a 2 day exam, do people usually just arrive the day before, or 2 days early?

I'm surprised your firm hasn't told you their policy before now, but this is as simple as calling recruiting and asking.

Edit: I believe the standard policy is three nights, but ask.

Which firms do 3 nights? I've heard 2 nights from friends (V20 NYC Biglaw)

Huh. I paid my own hotel & transit expenses, and didn't even think to ask the firm... and they certainly didn't offer. I just figured that picking up the bill for the bar course was the normal extent of things.

I think it varies. I spoke with a friend whose firm covers two nights, another friend whose firm covers 3 nights, and I guess some firms don't cover at all.
