Please include market, firm size/vault ranking, year, and a ballpark of the rate.
Feel free to anony it.

I need guidelines/estimates for a project, mainly for 2nd/3rd year, and for 5th-6th year, preferably midlaw/secondary market, but I thought it might be interesting to get a range. I'll update OP from time to time.

Thanks

More than $550 an hour as a first year in NYC, V5, specialized corporate practice.

Usual disclaimer that it's just the sticker rate, but still kind of insane...

250ish as a DC 2L SA. Most hours are billed, but regularly shaved down (if I spent 6 hours when they expected 4, for example).

How would you even know that?

This. Hey SAs out there: it is highly unlikely that any client is knowingly paying associate billing rates for your time. Stop responding to this thread.
