Top Law Schools

So I'm currently in the middle of a 6-week 1L unpaid DA gig. Don't like criminal law, don't want to be a DA at graduation. Managed to set up an in-person informational interview with a big law partner at a top firm in D.C. that I have been talking to, only problem is its in the middle of the normal working day and due to my location I would have to take a half day at the internship. My question is what do I tell the DA office? Can I say its something job related since there is no possibility of me working here after graduation anyways? Or should I lie and avoid any mention that its 2L job related?

My 1L unpaid job wouldn't have cared but yours might. Depends really.

IMO I think either way will work fine without any repercussions whatsoever. If lying isn't your thing, tell them this is serious prospect of securing a job after graduation and I'd be shocked if they don't encourage you to go and understand. Or you can lie and get the same outcome haha

I doubt they'll even ask. Just say you need to take a few hours for personal reasons.
