Callback info from lower T14

What's up TLS?

I think our lower T14 (C2) has a bunch of new firms interviewing because there's a whole hell of a lot with no callback data.

Does anyone, preferably at a lower T14, have any callback data on DE firms (MNAT, RLF, Skadden DE)? Is Skadden DE any less selective than Skadden NY? Also for Greater NY anyone have CB info on Duval & Stachenfeld; Perkins Coie NY; Orrick NY; Lamb & Barnosky (Melville); Herbert Smith Freehils NY; Withers Bergman CT; Lowenstein Sandler NJ; K&L Gates ny; Foley Lardner NY; O'Melveny; Holland + Knight ny; cooley llp ny?

I know Duval for one just bumped their compensation so they're probably is not good information on them, but it would still be interesting if anyone knows anything. This Herbert Smith Freehills place seems sort of new; anyone have any figure on where they're likely to fall selectivity-wise?

Thanks ladies and gentleman,

Lawlz.

PS. Is it appropriate to call Lamb & Barnosky to ask what they pay new associates?

DE firms care about ties but are not particularly grade sensitive.
Duval Stachenfeld used to require high grades (not sure if that is still the case). They had a two tier system of super-stars and contract people.
Herbert Smith is too new, but originally they wanted Yalies and uber high ranked people. I doubt that is still the case and would not be surprised if they are not super grade sensitive.

Orrick, OMM, K&L Gates + Cooley are attainable from median. I assume Foley Lardner and Holland Knight is also in this category.

Just FYI, some of the firms are new (Orrick, Herbert, Duval, etc.), but some of them are listed on the chart I have for the last two years (O'Melveny, Holland, Cooley, Foley,etc.). There was no callback data for them those years either.

Pretty sure lamb and barnosky pays approx. 100K, though I don't think they have ever done OCI

T10 transfer here, Skadden DE is less selective than Skadden NY, but still the most selective DE firm. I got callbacks with 3 of the Big 4 in DE (and offers from the 2 I interviewed with), but couldn't get a callback from Skadden. Know others in the same situation. They're the only ones that pay 160 (which is absurd given COL in DE), so they can afford to be choosy.

And yes ties are super-important there, almost everyone in my class/at the firm is either from DE or from somewhere within an hour or so and/or went to UD for undergrad. Although there is a good-sized contingent of people who went to law school at the North Carolina schools at some firms.

Cornell doesn't release CB data for firms with 2 or fewer callbacks offered because it would out people's GPAs. N/A doesn't mean they weren't here, it just means they either didn't call people back or only called back 1 or 2 people.

Yep. My T14 does this as well. You can talk to your CSO advisor to gauge your chances at those firms
