Hi, I graduated from law school last year, class of 2013. I transferred after my 1L year. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on when, if ever, I can remove my 1L school from my resume. Thanks!

I would just remove it. I went to a community college before transferring to my undergrad and I removed it from my resume immediately. I wasn't ashamed or anything, it just takes up room on a resume that should only be one page.

Agree with above. Transferred in undergrad and only put my degree granting institution on my resume. No one asks and I doubt they would care otherwise.

Eh, I don't have a good answer for this, but I don't think the way things are done for undergrads necessarily applies for law school. The above posters may well be right, but I'd get some independent confirmation (I'm pretty sure I've seen firm bios that list the 1L school as well as the graduating school, for instance).

I transferred from a T4 to a T1 my 1L school is long gone. My degree doesn't have my 1L school on it neither does my resume. I understand leaving it on there for like OCI but not after graduation. Don't let the transfer haters convince you that your JD is somehow inferior, school is over.

This. You should use that space for something useful.

They will see your 1L school if they ask for a transcript, anyway, won't they? My concern is that an employer might feel like you're hiding the fact that you transferred if you leave it off your resume but then they see it in your transcript. But that's purely conjecture.

Nope. It doesn't need to be on there. This is your resume. Don't let that inferior school bring you down.
