Got in some legal trouble and had a judgment entered against. Should I expect a no-offer? Is there anything I can do to get an offer?

Stealing/fraud/etc? Probably

Drugs/alcohol? Probably not unless hard drugs and/or distribution

Assault/violetn crimes? I'd say probably but maybe not depending on situation?

These are all just guesses but based on what I've seen people get dinged for (by the bar, firm background checks, etc). Good luck man hope it turns out well.

This is just a list of random guesses premised on the mistaken belief that there is uniformity in how people will respond and that those responses will closely track these categories of offenses. Why on earth is this anonymous?

No one can tell you if your "legal trouble" means you won't get an offer.

Do the best work you can and be the most pleasant person you can possibly be for the next couple months and hope for the best.

Civil or criminal? Also is there any reason your firm would even necessarily know about it?
