PTO vs small company

Which would be better? For the small company, I'd be doing patent research. Paid position. Both are basically in the same area.

I want to do IP BigLaw or boutique but no real preference of prosecution or litigation; both are equally desirable options for me. Does my 1L summer position not matter? Should I just take the money?

Thanks guys!

Yes. PEEP.
What's patent research? Like freedom to operate studies?

Have to think PEEP is better option if you want pros. Does your school offer a
PI stipend? Do you live in DC/Detroit?

Decided to take PEEP. But I don't think I have the undergrad grades for pros. Computer science. School does have PI stipend but from my understanding the applications were due long ago before I got the offers :/

Currently live in DC/Detroit
