Biglaw employers and when the candidate has.. let's say.. a 3.5 GPA (MVPCCN). I'm curious because I've really good grades in some courses and not so much in others ......... do they look at the transcript simply to verify that I'm not lying about my GPA or do they pay close attention to how I've performed in each course?

This has been answered a million times: they don't care about your individual grades, just your overall GPA.

Some do it each way. But you can't have that bad of grades and still end up at 3.5. Nobody is really going to care. Also, how is M or V?

Some do it each way. But you can't have that bad of grades and still end up at 3.5. Nobody is really going to care. Also, how is M or V?

What's the point of including that (in bold) ? Let people keep whatever shield of anonymity they want/ think they have when trying to use this website as a tool for getting information.

It's not funny, and no one is impressed that you can deduce it. Go back to autoadmit if you want to feel cool pulling nonsense like that

It's just annoying seeing that stuff all over the website, especially from people who have thousands of posts and actually can be really helpful in providing answers. This site has always been a good resource for me and a lot of other 'casual users'. Don't need the intimidation of hinting at people's identities/ personal information with a really really really overused joke.

it was pretty silly to put "MVP" in the first place, even sillier to put "CCNPVM", and sillier still to write "MVPCCN". So yea pointing it out is an unnecessary dig but if you're gonna claim anonymity, why do it carelessly?

also there's a pretty big difference in employment opportunity b/t a 3.5 at michigan and a 3.5 at chicago or cls.
