What Should I Do?

So I just wanted opinions. I am a 1L. in the process of figuring out my summer plans. I have been applying to a lot of entertainment-related positions and have yet to really get anywhere with it. I have been able to get interviews within other areas of law but my luck with entertainment has been limited. I am using every connection I have to try and find a way in, and although some are promising, the closer I get to finals, the more I am beginning to worry.
I am starting to get fed up with the whole application, cover letter-writing, and interviewing process because it is taking a lot of time away from outlining. And ideally I do not want to be going on interviews during or right before my final exams. I was recently just offered a position with a judge (not federal) in an area of law that I have already gained experience in for a few years at a law firm. I know if I take this position I will learn a lot and be able to practice my writing skills while receiving individual feedback. Those that know him have told me he is a great guy and I will learn a lot from him. I may also be able to get a grant from my school which makes it even more tempting.
I'm leaning towards taking the position with the judge and applying for externships in entertainment for the fall. The only thing holding me back is that I was really interested in exploring another area of law to start thinking about what I want to pursue. I know with this position I will learn a lot, just not in the field I necessarily want to work in. On the other hand if I hold out and find a position in something entertainment-related , there is the risk that I will not gain as valuable of an experience, depending on what they have me doing and whether or not I become a free secretary for the summer.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
