SA in an East Coast Business Casual firm. I own almost nothing. Since my pre-LS job I have lost like 60 pounds so none of it fits. All I have is a well-tailored interview suit and a couple shirts. I do still have about 7 ties from pre-LS, but I doubt I'll really even be wearing them much in a non-formal firm...
I know Brooks Brothers has some kind of 25% off sale next week, so I'll probably stock up on some shirts there. How many would you realistically need? Like 7 or so, in varying patterns?
Any suggestions for the best deal on nice aesthetic slacks between now and mid-May? I imagine I would need like 4-5 pairs of these?
I figure loafers for shoes would seem about appropriate, a couple pairs of those? Probably gonna look on eBay, is like 2 different black pairs and 1 brown pair enough?
So in all I would have to find:
7 shirts
5 slacks
2 black shoes
1 brown shoe
1 black belt
1 brown belt
socks
1 suit I already own - sufficient?
Do I need anything else? I don't own any sportscoats/jackets or anything other than my suit, but I've never worn one before this wouldn't be necessary would it?
Given that it's an SA, it would just be summer, so probably don't need to worry about sweaters or anything else. Is just slacks+dress shirt OK for everyday wear?
Also would sincerely appreciate any suggestions on good stores to buy these clothes in that are slim/athletic cut, especially if they may be having some kind of sale in the next 6 weeks or so.
Thanks!

With the above you can mix and match and never wear the same outfit.Anonymous User wrote:SA in an East Coast Business Casual firm. I own almost nothing. 53, but you could probably swing 2 slacks
21 black shoes
1 brown shoe
1 black belt
1 brown belt

If you're going to BB, get 6, since the price break is per 3. In terms of patterns, I wouldn't get that many and definitely not very crazy, because with six shirts you're going to be wearing them weekly. Maybe 3 solids (white, blue, ecru) and 3 patterned (2 striped, 1 windowpane/gingham).Anonymous User wrote: I know Brooks Brothers has some kind of 25% off sale next week, so I'll probably stock up on some shirts there. I personally would want a jacket or two for dinners.

Go bonobos slim fit or BB extra slim fit for your shirts. And indochino for your suits. You have the job, dress the part. Don't make the mistake of not buying good fitting clothes.
