Anyone have to do absurdly detailed "pitches" for newly filed patent cases? Why would a client care about this.

Yes. What's worse is when you spend a lot of *non-billable* time on one and your firm actually gets the case and then you don't get staffed on it. This happened to me last week.Desert Fox wrote:Anyone have to do absurdly detailed "pitches" for newly filed patent cases? Why would a client care about this.
It's insane that we don't get billable credit for this. It's not like I writing some retarded biz dev article that nobody reads. It's a significant project devoted to a specific potential client.Anonymous User wrote:Yes. Not giving billable credit for this kinda work is really TTT. I'm not looking forward to this BS.Desert Fox wrote:It's insane that we don't get billable credit for this. Just wait until you get into commercial litigation. It's basically all ambulance chasing.patogordo wrote:this sounds like the patent version of ambulance chasing
It's in the billing system but nobody gives a fuck how much biz dev you do.turbotong wrote:They at least track it as non-billable hours, right?
