Hey all,
Ive had a couple interviews so far for this summer, and Im wondering when you can basically give up on getting a particular job based on time gap b/t interview and offer. Specifically, I had an interview at a specialized section of an AG's office on Thursday last week - no call yet, tomorrow it will have been 4 business days. Honestly, not trying to sound neurotic, but friends who have gotten these offers have often gotten the call within a couple days after the interview, not a week or more later.
Im going to continue sending out apps until offer is in hand, but a general sense of when to quit hoping and move on would be instructive.
I couldn't find info on this here, so tl;dr - How much radio silence after your interview until you can safely assume you're screwed? For a gov agency/attorney general? For a firm? Ect.
Thanks again!

Re: 1L Summer Post-interview turn around
I've heard 1Ls hear back from judges and government jobs fast. As quick as 30 minutes to a week. I heard back from firms 1-3 weeks after the interview. I'd say 2 weeks after gov't jobs and 4 weeks after firm jobs is probably good sign to look elsewhere. But, if you really want the job, following up is not a bad idea.Anonymous User wrote:Hey all,
