Does anyone know much about this firm? I can't seem to find much information about salary, billable hour requirements, general atmosphere at the firm, etc. either in their New Orleans home office or one of their regional offices.
I appreciate any insight, thanks.

I figured I would bump this instead of making a new thread.
Anything?

As a baseline, I check the salary charts here:

They are outdated, but since legal pay has been stagnant for almost a decade, the charts always seem fairly accurate to me.
As for the firm's reputation, I have been co-counsel with their New Orleans office in the past, and they seem solid and well respected in the area and their office is really nice. When I was looking for local counsel, I was told they are the top player in town. I'm not local there, so I cannot verify, but it seems like it's probably accurate. This was a few years back, and I have not kept track of the New Orleans market, so I guess there's a chance things have changed.

Thanks for this!

IIRC, Jones Walker NO pays $100K for first years. I believe the billable hour requirement is somewhere around 1950 or 2000, which is a true minimum. Their primary focus is on Louisiana litigation. They're not very strong on the transactional side. My friends there like it, but seem a bit overworked - especially for the pay (but then again, $100K is "market" pay in Louisiana). I think they've got a two-tiered partnership. They are good folks, good litigators, but are known for taking a "scorched earth" approach to litigation (which sometimes backfires on their clients). They've grown significantly over the last few years via a merger with Miller Hamilton and by buying up other small firms in different states.
