Yale: 16
Harvard: 22
Stanford: 6

Chicago: 7
NYU: 12
Michigan: 1
UVA: 7
Penn: 4

George Washington: 3
BU: 3
BC: 2
Vandy: 2

It's just one place. They could have more, it doesn't quite add up to 141. :D

It's exactly this type of response that makes TLS useless and this type of thread particularly useless.

I went to Michigan and recently graduated. My year Sullivan & Cromwall offered something like 15 CBs (check ATL). Of the people I talked to, several of us received offers. I did. At Sullivan, after all, the callback is a little more than a mere formality. Guess how many took them? 0. This may blow your mind but not all law students desire a NY V5 sweatshop (especially one such as Sullivan which does little to no selection based on fit).
Epitome of TLS uselessness: post bashing a school's employment statistics.

Particularly useful response: anonymous post bashing a law firm's recruiting process/culture.

Query: do you think SullCrom associates are as butt-hurt about your post as you are about his?

S&C is notoriously bad at recruiting from Michigan. When I did OCI they gave out like a dozen offers but nobody accepted them because so few people had gone there in recent years: there are no young associates to convince you that it's actually a great place to work, and everyone just suspects that it must be awful because nobody from Michigan goes there (plus bad stories floating around on the internet about it).

Hi,
Where did you get this..........I've searched S&C's website and I can't find it. Is there an independent site that has it for all firms?

@ Anon above - It's on the SA website. If you're not summering at S&C, you won't be able to access it.

Another S&C summer here --

FYI, some of these people are 3Ls going back for pre-clerkship summers. So 141 is correct, but not 141 2L's.

S&C summer here. Any idea if we can get a breakdown of which people are going to which office?

Don't these numbers cut against the argument that YLS students aren't interested in firms? S&C and DPW alone take about 15% of YLS' class.

I got outed because I abused anon.

They might be interested in summering at firms, but not returning or staying long term?

I, too, got outed because I abused anon.

1) Why is this anonymous?

2) Who gives a shit? This thread is for 2014 summer class information, not bullshit TLS tropes and whether two firms' class compositions might fly in the face of one of them.

good point on #1, but just report it like you did. no need to bring it up in the thread, too.

It's a total misnomer to believe that YLS students aren't interested in firms. A lot of them are--I am sure there is data about this--but they almost uniformly end up at V10 firms or in DC. If you were a 178/4.0 student and wanted to work at a firm, the TCR answer is still to go to YLS over HLS.
