I heard from one of my fellow future summer associates at a V10 in NY this summer that he had received his gift bag/basket from the firm for the holidays; it's been almost a week and I haven't received anything.

I know this sounds absurd but I was wondering if it's a sign for how much they like you? I'm being completely serious here; I don't want to start off on the wrong foot with this firm, especially before I've even had my first summer assignment. Any advice/help/insight would be appreciated.

Through the grapevine I heard that our firm is gifting those who were offered (which is every SA) a $500 gift certificate to Bentleys … hope it is true because that would be pretty cool.
