Your best bet I would think would be to apply to government (DA/PD) and small firms that do courtwork. Your one asset that you can truly milk is that, at least from what I understand of ID, you likely have a lot of courtroom experience. Family law, personal injury and criminal attorneys may very well eat that up. Though I would suggest sticking it out one more year if possible (assuming you can't find something now) because the market for 2+ years experience is substantially better than 1 year out.

Also, I found this somewhat interesting given that I personally am looking to get INTO Insurance Defense.
