Top Law Schools

I'm pretty obese. Nothing I can do about it I tried everything. I'm 5'9 295lbs.

I'm pretty ugly too. I have a huge hook nose and I have to wear thick glasses (no contacts b/c of an early eye infection). I am bald and my ears are huge.

On top of all of this, I have a huge raised birthmark that takes up a 5" x 5" space on the left side of my face.

I have never kissed a girl. I once had a friend tell another girl I liked her in high school. This girl was about a 2 yet she still looked like she wanted to vomit when he told her. I know I'll never find love, etc. I'm happy living in my "porn world" with the fantasy that money will eventually bring me happiness and women.

What should I do at this point?

Get the thing on your face removed, if possible. They can be super distracting during first impressions. It's a short procedure at the dermotologist and (if you have health insurance) it's usually not expensive.

Being fat certainly doesn't help, but it doesn't preclude you from getting a BigLaw job. Anecdotally, I'm at a T10 school and all of my fat friends have jobs (but they also all have good grades).

Since you were a 1L last year, hasn't your OCI for this year already passed?

Have you considered some type of weight-loss surgery? They are doing some incredible things with weight loss nowadays. I have a friend that got a duodenal switch who lost over 200 pounds in a year.

Not trying to be a turd, but really, everything? have you stuck with a regimen over a long period of time?

If you really have, especially given how young you are, get yourself to a doctor ASAP. You may have already but worth another visit to get a gameplan for you.

I think he was a 1L last year and the year before. I don't recall him being morbidly obese though.

Professionally, being a bald, overweight man with a hook nose isn't a big deal. Sure you're not gonna score any bonus points from any female interviewers but you're not "screwed." Spend one day at a typical biglaw firm and count how many bald(ing) and overweight/obese male associates/partners there are. They're not exactly unicorns. Hell, 300 lbs 5'9" is not even that overweight by male American standards.

The birthmark is probably quite distracting, though, because others aren't used to seeing it. They're probably accustomed to seeing balding overweight men, but not men with 5x5 marks on their face. Get that removed.

Also, if your glasses are that large/imposing, get laser vision correction. You may still need some optical correction afterward, but you'll likely be able to wear thin/light glasses that won't be so distracting.

In summary, if you get a few medical procedures done then you will just be another overweight guy with a hook nose at OCI. Nothing special about that.

Personally, you shouldn't give up on love/companionship. Have those procedures done and look into more options for losing weight. This isn't high school, most people have grown up and will be pleasant to you, so get out of your apartment/dorm/whatever. Not every woman will discount you immediately because of how you look.

Calling this a flame. If not, then it is not your looks but your abysmal lack of confidence that will hurt you during OCI.

The "haven't kissed a girl" thing makes this seem like a big flame, not because it's so unusual/weird/alarming but because you decided to include it at all. The fact that you haven't kissed a girl didn't impact your chances at OCI
