Post-CB Status?
I still haven't heard back from 2 CB's. One was about a week ago and the other the week before. They both told me I'd hear back in a week, and both firms are in the same market, but I prefer the one I interviewed with last week; they have practice areas I'm interested in, and they pay market. Unfortunately, I didn't ask when the hiring committee would meet, and I didn't tell either they were my first choice. Is there anything I can do at this point to get a status update without seeming pushy? Should I assume it's a no for the earlier CB since it's been 2 weeks?

Try to not be so neurotic. Wait at least 2 weeks before inquiring. I would actually wait longer, and if you do inquire, email the recruiter and ask if there's anything you can add to help with the review of your application.
