Double checking on some CSO advice...

Probably a bad use of anon, but I've revealed my school, some personal info, etc.

Had a screener about a week and a half ago with a well respected mid size firm in my desired market (they only interviewed a few people at my school--top school in state/region). CSO says that this particular firm takes their time on making CBs, and that I shouldn't expect any word until about two weeks after the screener. Also, CBs are a formality at this firm... get the CB, get the job, so they say. CSO also says it would be a good idea to follow up via email before the two week mark to try and push myself over the edge if they are still deciding.

Is this credited advice? How would such a follow up email go?

Thanks guys

I think TCR is to follow up after the 2 week mark. Does your CSO have experience with this firm in-particular? This is going against tls common knowledge but it may be a unique situation.

Perhaps you could find 3Ls who summered there and ask them what they did?
