Is biglaw hiring all wrapped up?

2L here. I interviewed with approx. 20 firms at OCI. Had 3 CBs. Radio silence from all 3 (it's been anywhere from 1-3 weeks since those CBs happened).

I also mass-mailed over 150 firms. I know it's not enough. Got one phone interview and was later dinged.

At this point of the hiring season, are biglaw SA positions out of reach for me?

Not done, you hear stories every year of people getting offers into October. Your odds definitely go down by the day though and if you intend to add more firms to your mass mail list (you probably should), you should do so tomorrow.

OP here.

I appreciate the encouragement. I will push on and cross my fingers.

I was offered a screener earlier today at a V50 in NYC, not an offer but I doubt they would have invited me to interview if they were full. There are fewer spots by the day, but there will definitely be firms who end up not filling their classes through OCI who turn to mass-mail.

If 100% of a firm’s offers were accepted, they are done. The firms with less than a 100% acceptance rate will continue to tender offers. I am using last year as the basis for this conjecture supported by recent comments from firms calling this era “post-recession.”

For some reason, things seem to be happening a lot later this year. From 3Ls who heard weeks later on SA offers to 2L callbacks. A group of 2Ls are still going on big law callbacks that I went on the year prior in early September. Idk why, things just seem late for some reason.

It is totally wrapped up. Do not apply to anything biglaw related from now on. Even if it is a resume collect, it is probably just an elaborate flame.

I happen to know for a fact that this person's opinion is both wrong and shit trolling.

V30 CB offer today. soon after a V100 telling me their class was full. It varies by firm and some yields were better than others. Try and fill those holes.

Just spoke with an individual at a V50 who informed me that they won't be done interviewing for two weeks(!!), and offers would be going out after that. Send out them apps.

What markets are people having/had some success with at this point in the game?

Cool cool.

Any particular firms, or just those markets in general?

In addition, I know I have nothing to lose, but I just want to know the board's thoughts on my chances.

I go to a T20, top 1/3, secondary journal, URM, and good legal working experience. I just want a realistic opinion. My knee jerk reaction though is I won't even get a second look in many markets.

Markets in general. I can give you a couple specific Boston/NY firms I know friends have had success with if you PM me.
