Narrowed down the choices and am submitting a repoll. Interested in litigation.

I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of work/life balance but the hours at FF are very long

I am okay with long hours, looking for early substantive responsibility and great training.

I think FF is the obvious choice here. It would be a much closer call if you wanted corporate.

I guess that's the thing, the mandatory rotation did interest me and the ICM group.

Fried Frank has an excellent reputation (that far exceeds its Vault ranking) as a venerable litigation firm in NYC. If you specifically wanted international exposure or corporate, I'd probably pick A&O, but in the absence of those...

I don't know how much weight people give chambers, but AO is band 1 for NY lit, FF is band 2.

Well that makes sense. They should distinguish those sorts of things on the chambers associates page.

Anyone have experience with either of these firms that they can speak to? Curious about exit options, firm culture, reputation in/out if NYC etc...
