Assuming a V5 firm with CFA, contemplating on exit into PE. What is the best practice area for that purpose? M&A or PE fund formation? Or neither?

If you mean into the business side, probably M&A / PE flavored M&A?
There are a lot of firms outside of "the V5" that would be great for that (STB and KE spring to mind).

Thank you for the input! STB is very top in fund formation but I didn't get an offer from them. Fund formation is a very technical field and entails a lot of tax expertise/practice. But the firm I am joining is not very strong on that front.
