What is your salary:COL with your Vault option?

(OP here) Salary is slighty less than DE but very secondary market so COL lower than DE making it equal. With (rather low ranked, satelitie office) Vault firm have opportunity to develop clients, etc. in a way that can't with DE narrow specialized role.

(OP here) Thanks all for the varied perspectives. I'm leaning DE as of now for the chance to be involved (albeit peripherally) in biggest clients in the world and really cool stuff over being stuck in Flyover Country in a satellite office of Vault firm.

This advice is so simplistic (and, even assuming you can accurately quantify "prestige," often wrong) that it is useless.
