SA Offer Response Etiquette

Firm #1 has given me until 9/25 to respond to their offer. I thanked the firm for the offer and that I'd get in touch with my response as soon as I can.

I have a CB scheduled with Firm #2 on 9/16. The CSO at my school told me that I should certainly tell Firm #2, during my CB, that I have an offer from Firm #1 and that I need to respond to it ASAP. Even so, I'm guessing I probably won't hear from Firm #2 until close to Firm #1's deadline.

Should I email Firm #1 to let them know what's going on? I really like Firm #1, and so, I don't want to come off looking like I don't like the firm by responding to them last minute. However, I'm hesitant to accept Firm #1's offer without visiting Firm #2.

There is no problem here. Do the CB with firm 2 and let them know you have a deadline. If they don't give you an answer accept Firm #1. They aren't going to rescind just because you took too long to accept and they almost certainly will be in touch with you as the deadline approaches.
