Also, I know I for a fact that I CBs at the same firms as some friends and we were not always at the same hotel. Really, on a list of the most unimportant things you could be worried about this is pretty close to the top of the list.bk1 wrote:Who cares?

OP's question isn't stupid at all, especially if OP already has an offer that he or she wants and is thinking about canceling the rest of the callbacks. If you have the luxury of staying at the Ritz/Waldorf for a week while having at least some interest in the firms that you are doing callbacks for, why not? There's no harm in asking for reimbursement for this expense. Is recruiting coordinator going to run to a partner and by like, "ZOMG Anonymous User paid for WiFi in his hotel room. Don't give him an offer!" No. Partner will probably throw her out of the office for bringing that to her attention.

Depends on how much you want a job. If not that much, even Waldorf is reasonable for a callback (since Gibson Dunn puts people there). If this was OP's question he should have just asked it like this because it makes way more sense to be concerned about this. Honestly for most firms the hiring committee is going to be totally insulated from whoever is doing the reimbursements so it probably won't have any impact on a decision.
