Had my CB on Tuesday and haven't heard back yet. They seem to have a relatively quick turnaround. Someone from another thread reported an offer from a Tuesday CB. Really interested in this firm and please share experience/story/news.

When does the hiring committee meet?

I've heard several dings via email, normally a week from the CB.

And acceptances? Conventional wisdom is next day?

Got my offer 3 days after CB.

Got my offer after almost two weeks. From MVP. Hope this information helps.

Offer on a Tuesday after a Friday CB (CCN)

I found that some candidates were offered coffee with junior associates and others were not. And the treatment doesn't seem to correlate with timing of the interview. Does it suggest how desirable you are? I know I might be speculating too much but just curious.

Most of the NYC firms do this with 1st or 2nd year associates who share an office. It's most likely just a sign that you had an interview with someone who shares an office.

Compared with CBs I had with other firms which actually offered, people I met at DPW are kind of frosty. Polite but very distant. Haven't heard back from DPW yet. Just wondering if the frosty feeling is their general firm culture or indicative of a ding on its way.

Both of the partners and one of the associates I met with could well be described as "frosty." They also asked some nasty questions. When I sat down for my first interview, the first thing the partner said to me was "list every other firm you're interviewing with." He then wrote the names on my resume as I listed them. When I stopped, he said "that's it?" - as if he didn't trust me that I'd named them all.

any post labor day movement? It has been a week for me without hearing a peep.

Same. Haven't heard anything since last week. Doesn't their management committee meet on Friday's? Anyone place a call to recruiting lately to find out when decisions would be made?

Anyone have callback interviews a week or longer ago and still haven't heard back?

I had one exactly a week ago and haven't heard anything yet.

I also had one on last Tuesday, still have not heard back ;;;

A crapload of people, especially partners, are or have been out of the office. I wouldn't be surprised if our hiring committee couldn't meet at all last week.

Part of it, but not exclusively. Lots of vacations are planned for August (school calendars, tradition), jewish holidays are coming up, etc.

So we likely will not hear until Monday (Sept 9) at the earliest given that the committee meets on Friday and due to the backlog, right?
