Working in Capital Markets?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what working for a biglaw firm in a capital markets practice group is like? I.e. pros/cons/typical day/type of assignments/why should you say you want to work there etc? I know what capital markets are and have a general understanding of how they work from the finance side (just from my own research).

I remember reading on TLS that investment management/fund formation has less crazy hours than M&A and has a larger regulatory component, but exit options aren't as good. If anyone could give me any inside info like this but from a cap markets perspective, that would be perfect. I'm guessing it has very sophisticated clients/great exit options, but the hours/client demands are awful, so in that regard it sounds fairly similar to general M&A. I've already read the chambers and associates guide to cap markets practice btw.

(Anon because I'm interviewing with a firm that does almost exclusively cap markets work and trying to prepare for that).
