Top Law Schools

Have a CB with them next week (NY office), and just trying to figure out what I'm getting myself into. They've been through 2 big mergers in recent years (one in 2010 and again just recently in 2013), and were never even at my schools OCI before this year, so its been really hard for me to find any information on them. Anyone know anything?

Big global firm. Very small summer program (15ish for all offices), pay at/around market, working through some of the kinks of the merger but indications are the Canada/Europe additions have been very positive. Concerns over giving away the Sonnenschein brand name, but global leadership seems to be making at a point that they are creating a new firm.

Has anyone heard of any offers yet this year?

I received an offer from them about a month ago (and I know of a few others also). Personality-wise, I don't think there are many better places. Everyone was fairly laid-back, chatty in hallways, and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. (I ended up taking an offer elsewhere for practice-area reasons - wanted a firm with a strong antitrust group).

How long after the interview did you get the offer?

2 or 3 business days.

I got an offer too. It came about a week after CB. I really liked everyone there, but I ended up accepting an offer elsewhere.

Any recent news? Does anyone know if they send out rejections?

OP here. I ended up not getting an offer after my CB (got rejected like 3 weeks ago now, IIRC), but if anyone is considering them in the future, I really thought everyone was extremely nice and I woulda loved working there. Funny how it seems like they're gonna go through another merger now, since when I had my CB they really gave the impression that they weren't going to grow anymore (at least the NY office, but still).

Ding via snail mail yesterday. Unfortunately they were my last shot at an offer out of oci so looks like I'll be doing some mass mailing.

Everyone at the firm is very personable/friendly, and their NY office is very nice w/ a great location. Still in the process of settling in after the merger w/ people moving into their offices last week. Overall seems like a great place to work.

Question for the people that have gotten offers in NY this cycle: Does Dentons pay 160 or 145 in NY? Seems to be conflicting reports.
