Trusting legal recruiters

Can you trust legal recruiters with respect to them
maintaining confidentiality? I currently have a job but don't want to risk losing it by seeking help of a legal recruiter because of any disclosure on their part.
Is there any legally mandated duty for them to maintain the confidentiality? How does this work? Thanks.

If you sign a confidebtiality agreement and the person is successful (has assets) you can sue them if they breach it.

Asking a recruiter to sign a confidentiality agreement is like asking a VC fund to make sure they don't steal ideas you pitch to them. It's redundant and retarded. No recruiter worth your time would ruin confidentiality, as it would destroy their reputation and chill their ability to find talented candidates and get nice fees for placing them.
