Foreign Internships During 1L Summer

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Aug 04, 2013 12:49 am

I've searched the board for information on this, but most of what I found was in regards to studying abroad during 1L summer. Without getting too far ahead of myself, would getting a (probably unpaid) foreign internship be a bad idea for next summer if I'm unsuccessful at landing a paid summer job at a firm? I'm slightly worried it could affect my OCI performance, especially since I've already lived abroad (thinking firms may doubt my desire to stay in the US). The truth is, I do want to work abroad some day (I know, I know), but don't want to sink my chances domestically chasing the dream.

Help, please?

A job doing what? The answers are very different depending upon what you want to do.
