hi guys

id appreciate it if anyone could give info on this

for turning in a writing sample

do we turn in the:

1) the "predictive writing" paper...i.e. "the court will hold that blah blah"

2) the (is it called legal memorandum or trial/appellate brief?) paper where we write "the court SHOULD hold that"

thanks all

Which one is better is a consideration.
Generally, though, you go with "the Court will hold" instead of "the Court should hold."
After all, your job will more likely be to summarize what "the court will hold," and not to argue what "the Court should hold."

thanks for the reply

i noticed that for my "predictive writing paper" that I did well on, its only 6 pages...whereas the only other "predictive writing" paper i have i didnt do so well on.

would 6 pages be ok? or should i just use my other paper (the one where we do for advocacy, "the court should")

*i am interested only in firm jobs and secondly government branch jobs
